Nick Broomfield's sequel documentary reacquaints us with the lives of the children and officers and examines the scars left by the stark events of Part I.
Juvenile Liaison II is a follow up to the banned original film.
It shows how the lives of the kids from the first film have developed 15 years later. It also shows how the poorly trained police officers shown in the first film were made scapegoats, and bore the brunt of the criticism, as much victims as the children themselves.
The banning of the original film caused the resignation of the entire British Film Institute Production Board, who put money into the film.
"A fascinating and unique social document."
