In 1977, NASA launched the Voyager spacecraft – they carried with them a golden record, a phonograph filled with sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth to extraterrestrial life.
Nearly five decades later, is it time for a new Voyager telling a new version of the human story? Today, the

In this series, we go on a mission to collect the stories and artifacts that would go into a Chinese Space Time Capsule that would carry the human story to the stars. There’s perhaps no better way to communicate the story of the human civilisation than through the universal language of science.

EPISODE 1 - FROM APEMAN TO SPACEMAN
In the first episode, Spacetime Capsule sets out to search the world of Chinese science for the inspirational stories that explain how our species has made the journey from Apemen to Spacemen.
EPISODE 2 - REDEMPTION
In this episode, the Spacetime Capsule will be filled with the stories that illustrate the environmental crises we are facing because of the damage we have done to the planet; and the remarkable Chinese technology that is being developed to repair that damage and guarantee our future on this pale blue dot.
EPISODE 3 - ORIGINS
One of the biggest questions our society faces is – are we alone? As far as we know we are the only advanced civilization in the Universe. We have found no evidence of any others. But many scientists believe that there may be hundreds, or thousands, of other civilizations out there – and we are only just beginning to develop the technology capable of detecting them.
It is the hope of making contact with those civilisations that has inspired the mission of the Spacetime Capsule.
The final episode of this landmark series sets out to find the stories that will explain the origins of the Spacetime Capsule spacecraft. So that if any of those alien civilization find the spacecraft, they will know where it came from - and who sent it.
