BriteSpark is to explore the lives of tech revolutionaries Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos for a three-part Channel 4 documentary series.

Each hour-long episode of Tech Titans (w/t) examines one of the three figures, featuring exclusive access to friends, former colleagues and insiders of some of the world’s biggest tech companies to seek the truth behind some of the world’s most powerful men.

The series follows up from Britespark’s documentary Elon Musk: Superhero or Supervillain? which informed an overnight audience of 740,000 (4.9%) on Channel 4 in May last year, and the indie hinted at the time it was developing further docs examining tech leaders.

Tech Titans was commissioned by C4 commissioning editor Nevine Mabro and head of news and current affairs Louisa Compton.

“This is an important and revealing series about the tech billionaires that shape our world,” said Mabro. “We question the huge power and reach they have in our world – from social media to the economy and global health.”

Nick Godwin and Tom Porter are exec producers for BriteSpark, with Storm Theunissen as producer and director.

International rights will be handled by Abacus Media Rights.
