Discover the driving force behind ten amateur athletes in their race around Iceland.
Sisu follows a ten person cycling team from a small community in Maine as they take on the journey to compete in a 1,358km race around the perimeter of Iceland.
Set just after the summer solstice, the team faces rapidly changing road and weather conditions as they push forward against the 72 hour time limit. Combining an observational filmmaking style with elements of a travelogue as well as the engagement of action sport, the film explores the motivations of amateur athletes as they pursue a massive physical challenge and considers the role that adventure plays in contemporary life.
