The Home Front is a fascinating journey of discovery into the world of our modern veterans.
For too many it's a world of shadows, despair, pain and isolation. A world of darkness and depression, of PTSD and unresolved mental issues. A world where homelessness looms. A world where suicide lurks.
In around 20 years of fighting in Afghanistan, Australia lost 41 soldiers killed in action. Over that same period at least 1400 serving and ex-serving veterans took their own lives. The Home Front asks the hard questions and sounds a warning of the looming storm of mental health issues facing veterans in Australia and around the world.
